REVIEW: NOSFERATU
The story of Dracula by Bram Stoker has been the archetype for horror for over a century. The story that is steeped in Romanian and Balkan folklore and history has been haunted people for generations. The story of Dracula is based off of the Romanian ruler Vlad Tepes/Dracul who was said to be a vampire. This idea was based off of Ottoman accounts of his cruelty in war and tactics in torture. The silent film Nosferatu – Eine Symphonie des Grauens (Nosferatu: A Symphony in Horror), was one of the first films to show case a vampire and has set the bar in cinematic horror. CONCERT REVIEW: MEN I TRUST
I first got introduced to Men I Trust in about 2017 through social media. I liked how they were Canadian and just an intimate group who truly embodies their craft. I really got hooked on Men I Trust after their sophomore album dropped. It was the perfection of true indie music. When I found out they were on tour in the Fall 2023 I was excited to see how they would be live. With Men I Trust you never truly know which direction they will go.

CONCERT REVIEW: THE 1975
I first got introduced to The 1975 in 2013 by my sister. I wasn’t initially sold on them since their first single ‘Chocolate’ was Pop and dismissed them. Due to my sister’s obsession with The 1975 she explained in great detail the lyrics and instrumentals. After some time I grew to love the band and respect their range as artists. I went to their tour and this is my review.

NETFLIX REVIEW- #blackAF
#BlackAF has been regarded as some as a more adult and raw version of Black-ish, mainly due to the profanity, and subject matter, but it is still well written and acted. Some subjects in the show can be hard to handle due to the reality of race in America, and especially now it is a great comedic tool to help educate people on aspects of Black culture.
NETFLIX REVIEW - MAN LIKE MOBEEN
I came across this show titled “Man Like Mobeen”. This show starring British actor/comedian Guz Khan, is a humorous take on life in Birmingham, England. Reformed “roadman” (what we know as a drug dealer/gang member) Mobeen Dean juggles raising his younger sister, Aqsa (Duaa Karim) his friends, Nate and Eight (played by Tolu Ogunmefun and Tez Ilyas) and staying out of trouble.
