Stemming from Mesopotamia and the Fertile Crescent from about 4000 B.C., this resilient fruit has truly stood the test of time. In Quranic texts, it is said that Maryam (as) the mother of Jesus(as) ate dates to ease the the pains of childbirth.

FOOD SPOTLIGHT: SUDANESE TAMIYA (FALAFEL)
For my deep fry recipe, I will be showing you how to make Sudanese style falafel (tamiya). Sudanese style falafel is a lesser known but equally good version of the infamous Egyptian style falafel. Since it utilizes less ingredients, it is quicker to whip up and even economical.

The goal is to find that other bean that has a very similar flavor as the original bean of chick pea…Hummus.
It’s Black Beans, and Cannellini Beans also known as White Kidney Beans. Both beans have a sweet mild flavor as the Chick Peas. This flavor will translate very similarly to Hummus when it’s whipped into dip form.

These Tapas are the best! And a beyond delicious way to get your vitamins C, E, K, and B6, as well as riboflavin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, and potassium. Avocados also provide lutein, beta carotene, and omega-3 fatty acids. Avocados contain high levels of healthy, beneficial fats, which can help a person feel fuller between meals.
