HANEEN AL SAIFY- ENTREPRENEUR & BLOGGER
How would you introduce yourself to people who are unaware of you?
Haneen Al Saify, a chemical engineer by specialty, and a blogger by profession.
You have a degree in chemical engineering but your business is about empowering women to curate a style that not only speaks to them but helps them achieve what they want. How did the switch from engineering to business happen?
A profession is an everyday activity we perform for 8-9 hours! I chose a profession that I enjoy to an extent that I dont feel like working. Truly, very few know this about me, but I love what I do, I do not feel like I need a vacation from this profession. I did study chemical engineering, and I hear this question quite a lot! I may not use the equations or implementation that I studied in class, but let me be frank, without this education, I would not be the person I am today! This education gave me critical thinking skills, analytical thinking skills, tolerance, management, and many more skills that gives a blogger a strength! We live in an era where many ladies choose to become bloggers, but very few have that extra topping that makes them succeed, that extra topping is my education!
What are the 5 best personal investments a woman can make in their wardrobe? And why?
I will not categorize them as top five. However, I would love to say that all classic pieces are considered as an investment: classic bags, classic shoes, classic dresses, classic watch and a piece of jewelry.
I love how you creatively showcase the Abaya and have built the Abaya around your central wardrobe. Please describe how you decide what outfit you want to incorporate an Abaya and why?
I always used to think- why do we always see magazines and the big names in the fashion industry focusing on developing only the fashion that we know? Yet the abaya stayed as it is for many years without growing, or changing. I felt I needed this for me and thats why I did it for [myself] and all.
What drives you?
I’m driven by Passion! Passion gives me strength, the will, and the motivation. It makes you work like their is no other option except to succeed.
Describe your personal style in 3 words.
Simple, classy, and smart.
What are your favorite face and hair products? and why?
I love aloe vera for the face and hair, because of its calming effect to the face and scalp.
What are your thoughts on 2020 and what was the biggest lesson you learned from this unprecedented year?
Patience. We always knew how important patience is but then with experiencing the pandemic, I learned to be patient and have a strong faith in God that things will get better even when it doesn’t feel like it.
The last and most fun question! what is your favorite way to pamper yourself and get a boost?
Travel and eat a lot.
