HOLIDAY PARTY OUTFIT- WOMEN
With the holiday season in full swing, that means holiday and work parties. Due to the colder weather, it is time for you to start layering. I have always loved Fall/Winter style do to the multitude of textures and layering you can do to keep you warm as well as stylish. While it’s common to feel like you need a different outfit for all the events. I’m a firm believer in using on sexy/ timeless outfit that fits from cocktail, formal and everything in between. I am going to show you a more sartorial take on cold weather & transitional fashion for any formal or holiday events.
So I’m currently into longer silhouettes with layered textures. My favorite go-to is a long high-waisted skirt. I love plaid and button because the buttons make a “casual” skirt instantly formal without being to over the top. Plaid is the fun festive print that makes Winter my favorite time. Now, I’m finding that a midi-skirt that’s high-waisted makes the skirt more formal. My favorite is my St. John skirt. I’ve had this one for the last 2 seasons and it never disappoints (I recommend selecting colors that are yhor favorite so you never get sick of the pattern). The beauty of the St.John skirt is that you’re able to move if you want to dance but don’t have to worry about sitting down.
Next up is the top! Now as I’ve stated many times and if you’ve been following us on Instagram, you know I’m sweater obsessed. Now I’m wearing my Brunello Cucinelli sweater bc it’s semi sheer, v-neck, and brings the sexy. Another sweater I’ll wear is Theory because the cut is so sexy and v-neck. I tuck it into my high-waisted St.John skirt so it elongates my body and helps with layering the leather jacket.
The beauty about the investment of the leather jacket (make sure it’s a silhouette you love so yhor able to keep it for years) is that it never goes out of style and can wear it to formal events or casual.
Last, but certainly not least are the shoes and accessories! As I’ve stated many times I LOVE boots. I have a range from Frye, Dr. Marten’s, Stuart Weitzman, Chanel and Gucci. I have to say my go-to are my Stuart Weitzman. I got my first pair of 50/50 in highshcool and literally wore them everyday lol. They mix perfectly with shorts, dresses and everything in between. I did go through a phase where I loved walking everywhere (I mean miles a day) and my Stuart Weitzman’s were my boot of choice because they were chic and sturdy and I never got blisters. I say this because they’re an investment but an investment that truly has so many uses. I choose my grey suede heeled Weitzman boots. Ther’re from a few seasons ago but these Stuart Weitzman are the same. I chose an Hermes Kelly Pochette as my bag because it’s cute and can fit everything I need. I love the Gucci Bamboo purse as well but I chose the Hermes because it was more understated and I wanted my skirt to be the focal point.
This overall style is my current go-to Holiday Outfit! All you need is a skirt, top tucked in, and boots to keep it sleek. What style you select is totally yhor choice, but if you like this look check out the links to make selecting easier.
Happy Holidays!
