FAVORITE BLACK-OWNED JEWELRY DESIGNERS
Jewelry evokes so many emotions and feelings. It can show the world our personality before even saying “Hello.” Now we all know the coveted jewlery brands that meet our range of needs: David Yurman, Hermes, Tiffany, and Rabat to name a few. Think it’s time to show some love to some amazing jewelry designers, who happen to be black, and are gaining the popularity they deserve. This is why i love them…
OMI WOODS
Omi Woods first grabbed my attention when Rihanna wore their necklace on the Iconic cover of British Vogue. Why was Rihanna’s cover Iconic? Because it finally showed Black culture (do-rag) in mainstream media.
Why I love it: Accessible with heritage feel. I LOVE heirloom jewelry becuase it tells a story and preserves our history.
Fave Pieces: The Egyptian Coin Necklace Stack II & The ILE IFE Ring

MELANIE MARIE
I’ve been a fan of Melanie Marie for sometime because who doesn’t like chic personalized jewelry that you can layer without looking tacky? As a true fan, on Juneteenth, Beyonce used Melanie Marie’s jewelry for her Black Parade (the ultimate song to make anyone be proud of their heritage and be unapologetic).
Why I Love It: The personalized options! I have my moments when I want to have my loved ones name on a piece of jewelry, or 5. Melanie Marie makes personalization classy and can even do names in Arabic!

THIRD CROWN
Third Crown I feel is my “hidden gem.” the strong designs not only instantly boost my confidence but it pairs so nicely with my other jewelry. When I mix the pieces it softens the bold designs on the days I want to be more muted.
Why I Love It: Who doesn’t love edgy jewelry!? Jewelry to me is so personal and describes the mood you are in. I love the chunky bracelets and avant-garde style
