BEAUTY SPOTLIGHT: TRAVEL ESSENTIALS
There's something about the Winter Season that makes traveling seem not only magical but also more stressful! I can travel throughout the year and not think twice about how I'm packing. Luckily I have a system in place that helps for regardless where you're going. Read on to find out my Travel Essentials! Enjoy!
Traveling! If you’ve been apart of this community for a minute you know that traveling has been a huge part of my life since I was a kid and has thankfully translated into my adulting work. I’ve learned a few tricks along the years that have made me an efficient packer and how I avoid jet lag, experience
Skincare, makeup, travel accessories, travel bags make all the difference to ensure not only a smooth trip but also peace of mind; whether you’re traveling on a long flight or staycation. Skincare routines not only help combat jet lag in my experience but it also helps your skin not react to the different climate change or dry recycled cabin air. Hair oils and non-comedogenic skincare will help you feel refreshed and look amazing.
The most unsung hero in traveling is actually water! I’m a firm believer that regardless of the products I put on my skin topically nothing beats actually drinking a lot of water before and during the flight. I recommend about a full bottle of water before your flight and a bottle and a half during your flight. I always buy about 3 water bottles and a small espresso. I will usually sip the espresso throughout the flight. This helps keeps the blood circulating. Caffeine is truly one of the best skincare and beauty ingredients! Which is why we use it in our YhorlifeEssentials products so much. It’s an instant glow up.
Now, one thing I don’t deviate from is my travel outfit. I don’t care if it’s summer or winter my outfit follows the same aesthetic. I always wear my Gucci Crystal Chelsea Boots, Pants (usually a lightweight cashmere), Crew Neck Sweater (usually lightweight Cashmere), and my Burberry Trenchcoat. I love the fact that boots are heavy but fashionable with the crystals. I feel like I’m getting my workout in with every step. Plus they’re a great universal boot regardless of my destination. I love my Burberry Trench Coat because it’s a perfect classic and cool coat and it’s comfy but always looks put together. Pants and a sweater because I love to feel comfy and not to restricted yet chic. You can select whatever style works for you but this combo is my go-to.
For my skincare I do NOT wear makeup on the flight. I reapply my Kaffe Arabe Balm all over my face, eyes, and lips as it’s created with 1% arabica coffee so my eyes depuff and I constantly look revitalized lol. I use Liebe Cheveau Hair Oil during the flight because it smells like a wonderful rose perfume but also nourishes and hydrates my hair without weighing it down. I spray the YhorlifeEssentials facial spray that refreshes and hydrates from the cucumber. I also have to have my CALM gummies and hand sanitizier when I travel. It just relaxes me so I can enjoy the flight etc.
I personally travel with my Bric’s carry-on suitcase and a HUGE bag/purse. I love my Bric’s luggage because it’s sleek, simple, and efficient (it has a charger on the suitcase so I can charge my phone regardless if I get a seat near the gate. Now you guys know how I love UK items. So my go-to travel bag is my Mulberry Bayswater bag. I have had it for years and it has never let me down. It’s large, sturdy and I can fit everything I need inside. My most recent addition of travel bag is the YSL ES travel bag. It’s massive and sleek but quilted and I love it! Whatever bag you decide just make sure it’s large and fits your aesthetic.
Last but not least are the accessories and what fills up my bag! I have to have my kindle, agenda and wallet. I also will bring a small purse I stuff inside so when I get to my destination I don’t have to lug my huge bag around lol. I also have my cosmetic pouches that I keep my skincare, oral care, and first aid kit in while I travel.
